Derek studied classical painting and realism at the Angel Academy of Art in Florence, Italy. Although he appreciates the time and dedication it takes to create a realistic representation, he rarely finds perfection necessary to express his ideas.  Here are a few of the more representational/traditional pieces he’s done.
